Des Orsinelli: President Xi, I’m certain we can make cleaner energy faster

By this letter I challenge the president of China to a bet $1,000 (or the equivalent in Yuan) to the first whose country installs 300 gigawatts of solar panels plus wind. President Xi, I’ve worked in China and know your people to be brilliant, innovative and driven; but when my money’s on the line, I’ll take the USA any day. I am just an ordinary person, but I have $1,000. The Bee is just an ordinary newspaper, but I think you’ll get the message. It’s this: Are you up to challenge?
