Mary Bavaro and Darlene Rodriguez-Silva: Community support helps Soroptimists help others

Soroptimist International of Modesto’s “Welcome to Café de Paris” was indeed a “fun” fund-raiser, and this was made possible by the splendid support of the public, family and friends. Our Sorptimist goal is to “improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment” within our community and worldwide. This major fundraiser helps us to achieve this goal.

Once again, local businesses generously donated items to our silent auction – one of the major sources of funding for our community service projects and scholarships. Thanks to all who participated and for The Bee’s continued support of Soroptimist over the past years. We truly appreciate it.
