Perry Bonito: It’s a special week to appreciate nurses
This week is teacher appreciation week. I see and hear all kinds of discounts targeted for teachers. I believe it is a wonderful thing, but it is also Nurse Appreciation Week and I think they are getting overlooked. My wife is a nurse. She gets up before dawn, goes to work and is on her feet all day. She works weekends, holidays, Mothers Day, summer and any other time they need her – even into the next shift if they need her back. That’s what she and all nurses do.
If you know a nurse, make sure you thank them, because they don’t hear it nearly enough and when they do get an appreciation week, no one cares.
