Ken Garst: Ending war on drugs is an excellent idea

Re “Want to fix Baltimore? End war on Drugs” (Page D3, May 3): The “war on drugs” is just another of those absurd “Christian laws” that are destroying America. As reported in The Bee several years ago, nations such as Switzerland have had excellent success with the decriminalization of drug abuse and placing the problem where it belongs – as a medical issue.
