Charles Shetron: There’s a cancer in FBI, DOJ that Nunes has finally exposed

After all the overreach by various federal agencies – IRS, BLM, NLRB, Corp of Engineers, Interior, etc. – during the entire term of the previous administration, why is anyone surprised to find out two more departments have been infected by the cancer planted in their ranks.

What we all should note, however, is the arrogance these departments have shown for anyone daring to question their procedures and then report their findings to the ultimate national authority, We The People. The questioners have a right and duty to ask questions and report their findings.

The departments’ political instigators and enablers in both political parties are beside themselves and have come to defend both departments with false indignation and disingenuous rhetoric.

The response of the departments is not surprising. When any bureaucracy becomes large, and the FBI and the Department of Justice are huge, their prime directive is the maintenance, survival and enhancement of the largess they have become accustomed to. In addition to protecting their goodies they must also protect the narrative that is the basis for their existence.

Big government has become too large with constitutional non-essentials. In order to operate, the Department tail must wag the Legislative dog.

Charles Shetron, Oakdale
