Bill Gardner: Make businesses save more water
How is it that the cities tell us to quit wasting water but do not tell the businesses to quit.
Every Saturday, when my wife drives to work, she sees ConAgra watering their grass; even during the rain they had the sprinklers going.
This morning when she went to work they had them on and it was raining hard all night. She even noticed broken sprinklers that were shooting into the streets.
I see a new car lot across the street from my house and they are always taking cars and washing them right on the street.
Our grass is dead now, but at least ConAgra’s is green. And my car looks abandoned due to all the dust, but at least the cars on the lots are all shiny.
