Eugene L. Conrotto: An ugly political truth; both sides have a point
Two neighbors: opposite political philosophies. The Republican posts a sign: “Vote Democrat – Beats Working.” The Democrat counters with “Vote Republican – Beats Thinking.” This is the fundamental divide that plagues the Republic. Until both sides acknowledge there is a kernel of truth in their opponent’s argument we will continue to muddle along, threatened by fascists on the right and collectivists on the left.
