Debra Bush: Honest manager verified store’s mistake

I want to thank the managers of the Grocery Outlet on Oakdale Road. When I checked my bank account, I knew more money had been deducted than I had spent there a few days prior. I checked the receipt and it said $40 cash back. I did not request or get $40 cash back that day.

I went to the store and talked to a manager. He said he would look into it. He called me within an hour and said the register was over that day by $40 and I could come get my money.

I was lucky to deal with honest people; I had no proof I did not receive this money. Thank you to an honest store manager.

People really need to be careful and watch their receipts.
