Lee Dozier: Employers won’t give seniors a chance

I was laid off from my job in September, 2014. Since being let go, I have been putting in my application all over town, in just about every restaurant in Modesto, but nothing. I am 72 years old, you see, and when I go back they have hired a young person. Why do they treat seniors like dirt?

That is wrong. I guess people don’t like older people. I could go on and on, but it is sad that their isn’t any respect for senior citizens. I am a hard worker, I don’t call in saying I’m sick. People should hire more senior citizens.
