Pat Portwood and Ryan Dziadosz: Stanislaus voters saved their libraries. Bravo!

As co-chairs of the Measure S campaign – Say Yes! to Stanislaus Libraries – we express our gratitude to the thousands who endorsed the measure, walked precincts, phoned voters, coordinated local campaigns, volunteered and voted in support of Measure S. The measure, which renews the eighth-cent sales tax that funds our 13-branch library system, passed with an incredible 82.1 percent approval, guaranteeing the sustainability of our public libraries for the next 12 years.

Bravo! It has been our privilege to serve on this campaign and to meet and work with the remarkable citizens of Stanislaus County.
