Natasha Parra: Measure T makes so much sense, no one argues against it

After reviewing the text of Measure T and the argument in favor of Measure T in the sample ballot sent to voters by the elections office, I have asked my family and friends to join me in voting yes on Measure T. I was impressed by the thoughtful arguments urging a yes vote by community leaders like former community college president Stan Hodges, business leader David Wright and city council member Kristi Ah You. No arguments were submitted against Measure T.

Just today I heard a very persuasive radio advertisement in which our excellent police chief explained why voting yes on Measure T was important. I can’t really think of why we wouldn’t vote to protect essential city services by making newly legalized marijuana businesses pay for their own impacts instead of making the general public or the city’s general fund pay for them.
