John K. Miles and Priscilla Peters: It’s a tiny tax but it means so much

Whether your goal is information or entertainment, education or inspiration, our public library system provides opportunity and resources for all. With materials offered in a wide variety of formats, there is something to satisfy everyone. In terms of quality of life, the library enriches us all.

We urge you to join us in supporting our county library system by voting yes on Measure S. This tiny tax, which we citizens have repeatedly supported as a measure of our desire for strong and well-equipped libraries, is an investment in our own quality of life in Stanislaus County. Our support provides nearly 90 percent of the funding for our public libraries. Without this support, our libraries would be but a shadow of what they are today as trusted purveyors of information and opportunity for all.

Vote yes on Measure S!

John K. Miles and Priscilla Peters, Turlock
