Richard Fetzer: How has Obama hurt America? Here are a few

The writer of “How is Obama destroying America?” (Letters, March 23) asked why people thought President Obama has been destructive to America. Consider:

▪ The federal debt has increased from $9 trillion to $18 trillion in six years.

▪ The size of federal government employees and expenditures is the largest ever, with the highest salaries ever and the largest welfare outlays.

▪ This administration tries to regulate, tax and control business. Wonder why businesses move overseas? EPA has put out thousands of regulations.

▪ Obama believes climate change is greatest threat to the U.S. Isn’t possible that sun spots, celestial disturbances and volcanic activity could be part of the problem?

▪ He supported the wrong leader in Egypt, destabilized Libya, ignored Syria and Yemen and left Iraq early, allowing ISIS to grow into a large state, killing anyone disagreeing with them.

▪ Wants nuclear deal with Iran, even though they hold several American prisoners hostage including a pastor, a soldier and others. Iran is a sponsor and banker for terrorist organizations like Hezbollah, Houthis, Syrian government and Hamas.

▪ Obama has presided over a non-transparent government that doesn’t like to work with Congress or anyone. He uses Presidential orders to get around Congress, creating Constitutional crises.
