Lisa Dovichi-Braden: Epidemic tagging makes Modesto look terrible

As a Realtor and life-long resident of Modesto, I’m tired of watching as this town is taken over by hoodlums who graffiti property from one side of Modesto to the other. Every day I see something new as I’m driving around town, and I wonder how nobody ever sees them tagging – or maybe they do but don’t want to get involved.

If the city sends someone out to cover the tagging, maybe they can carry two basic colors with them and repaint a grey wall grey – not tan.

The Modesto City Council needs to make cleaning up graffiti around Modesto a priority if they want to attract new businesses, otherwise they will just get more hoodlums.
