Karen Bucio: Remembering Ernie Bucio by helping students
I want to thank everyone for helping make the annual Ernie Bucio Music Scholarship Fundraiser such a success again this year. Ernie inspired so many students; I hear that from former students, a parent of a student, an oldster almost daily. Hopefully, this scholarship will help inspire future generations. I find it inspiring that you all continue to come together to support this cause, promote music education for our youth and also to remember Ernie.
From me and all of Ernie’s family, please accept our sincere gratitude. We couldn’t continue this without your support. A special thanks to all the raffle donations, the musicians, Hanibal and Evin for the use of the Barkin’ Dog Grill and particularly to all the great people who came out to help us celebrate his life. We (or I should say, “you”) collected over $3,000 this year to add to the scholarship so it will continue helping worthy music students for years to come. See you next year.
