Gene Dias: This president has tried to nationalize health care, banking and energy

Re “Let the Southern state secede” (Lettters, March 31): Apparently the liberal view is that our president can, by executive action, nationalize health care, banking and energy then execute anyone in Congress who disagrees. Sorry to disappoint, but we have a Constitution, even though our president has disrespected it often!

Sure, let all states that you don’t see as liberal enough secede. Where will you get the labor and resources to run your Utopia?

Were the president to declare martial law, you’re asking for another civil war; those with high liberal ideals and no ammo might just want to reconsider that.

Want a country where the president is in reality a dictator? Consider Cuba, Russia, China or any other communist country. Sure you’d like that?

The United States of America is not on that list – yet!

You could stay here; we have a place with free food, clothing, health care, a place to sleep – a roof you never have to repair. It’s called prison.

Today’s, liberals remind me of a nest of baby birds, mouths always open, squawking, wanting someone else to feed them. Then they complain about what they get.
