Jim Wisler: City stood up for its cops, and that sent a strong message
Re “No violation of civil rights, jury finds” (Page 3A, Aug. 27): It was great to see the city of Modesto stand up and defend officers Jerry Ramar and Ben Kroutil. Considering the litigious society we live in, it would have been so much easier to just settle and walk away. But the city sent a strong message that showed integrity and principles. Chalk one up for the good guys.
