Karen Ohl: Hate speech can incinerate our civilization

I will never defend anyone’s right to hate speech inciting murder and mayhem, like the recent events in Charlottesville. Such inflammatory speech can incinerate our civilization. In an instant, Heather Heyer’s life was gone. Hate speech is not a God-given right. It should not be a civil right either, protected by the First Amendment.
