Denise Cannistraci: Reasons to pass Laura’s Law are self-evident
Re “Study: No proof Laura’s Law helps severely mentally ill” (Front page, Aug. 1): Laura’s Law (as I’ve read it) allows for the involuntary commitment to out-patient treatment for mental illness. That sentence contains the reason the study gave its findings. I have read the pros and cons; I’ve read about hearings held by our board of supervisors, and said nothing. I felt the reasoning for the law was self evident.
