Margaret Friedrich: Obama is systematically destroying our nation
Re “How is Obama destroying America?” (Letters, March 23): Obama is destroying America by systematically shredding our Constitution and changing the country – exactly what he said he would do. The “Affordable Care Act” is anything but affordable, just a different set of persons paying the price with multiple subsidies and the same number of uninsured. Medicaid, rather than the ACA; just go on the dole. Improve immigration, open the borders, decimate and intimidate the Border Patrol; give out citizenship papers, tax breaks, schooling and more advantages than to those who have been here for years.
Abandon the strides made in fighting terrorism overseas and let Mosul and other cities in Iraq be overtaken again. Yemen, that bastion of democracy, says the president, is now a bed of terrorism. Bargain with Iran and throw Israel, a confirmed ally, under the bus. But let’s not say the words “Islamic Terrorists”!
Normalize relations with communist Cuba. Climate change is still an ongoing debate. What about the growth in our national debt? Too late to blame everything on George Bush. Executive action instead of legislation. Is this how our Republic was meant to be? Wake up, America!
