Shannon Poteet: Piccinini showed compassion even in his stores

Re “Save Mart owner Piccinini dies at 73” (Page A1, March 25): I did not know Bob Piccinini personally, but I was greatly impressed by an action he took. During the Laci Peterson tragedy, he had all the tabloids pulled from the aisles of his stores so that the family of Laci and others dealing with grief did not have to see them. A thoughtful and sensitive courtesy that shows a real sense of community.
