Sandy Guerra: MS Walk helps in the battle against disease

March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness month. We have many reasons to be grateful for all of the resources the Central Valley offers for those of us living with MS. We have Andrea Covolo, Community Engagement coordinator for the Central Valley. Andrea has a plethora of information regarding support-group meetings, classes and activities.

We are also embarking upon our 11th year of having a weekly yoga class that is both magical and healing. It is the longest running yoga class in the Northern California chapter of the MS Society! Some of have been attending since the class’s inception, and we are thankful for instructor Richard Parenti of the Yoga Health Institute for his inspiration and teaching us the gift that allows us to continue an attitude of gratitude even when life throws us a curve!

The Annual MS Walk will be April 18 at Downey Park at 9 a.m. Lace up your walking shoes and head down for a fun-filled morning. This is an opportunity to participate in creating an MS free world!

Sandy Guerra, Modesto
