Jill Heaton: Mistletoe can wait until birds can fly

I am fully aware of the bad publicity and complaints made against city workers.

I would like to publicly compliment Jose of the City of Modesto Forestry Division. He was thinning the mistletoe off the city-owned tree in front of my property when he came across a nest full of baby birds. He left that one clump of mistletoe, saying he would be back when the baby birds no longer needed their nest.

Thanks to all the city workers who have a heart. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
