Nancy Carvalho: Fourth of July a great time to tell veterans how much they’re appreciated
My husband and I have been in many of Modesto’s Fourth of July parades. I thought this year’s was one of the best. The parachutist was awesome and the Roberts Auto Sales balloons were spectacular! The crowd seemed very animated and was having a great time. What I didn’t see were our country’s veterans. Being in the parade, I can’t be sure they weren’t in it as well. Every year I look forward to seeing their military caps and letting them know how much I appreciate their sacrifice. We can only celebrate the Fourth because of their service. So, veterans of every branch of the military, I missed you this year. And I truly appreciate you!
