Marilyn Rowland: Bike helmet made sure my crash was a mishap, not a tragedy
Recently I had a minor bicycle mishap. Gentlemen in the area dashed to my rescue with wet paper towels for my bruised elbow. My husband was behind me, delayed at a stoplight. The take-away from this incident is that my bike helmet saved me from serious injury. Please, all you bike riders out there, helmets really are necessary.
