Pete Van Diepen: Warriors show heart of champions in disdaining White House visit
Re “Warriors should visit the White House” (Another View, June 19): I strongly disagree with the view that the Warriors should visit the White House. I agree that there should be respect for our government and for the office of the president. Unfortunately, the current occupant of the White House shows very little respect for norms of decency. He is not just a “blowhard,” but a corrupt, dangerous and dishonest man who is a disgrace to our great American ideals of liberty and justice for all.
I am proud of the Warriors’ stance in unanimously refusing to visit the White House. It is not uncivil, but it is a form of activism. Stay strong, Warriors.
