Richard A. McCullough: If Coulter is a ‘polemicist’ then so is The Bee

Re “Cost of security for last month’s Ann Coulter speech: $65,000” (Front Page, May 27): Your front page article caught my attention. In reading the article you called Anne Coulter a “polemicist,” a name I had never used, so I looked it up in my dictionary which said in part, “The art or practice of engaging in controversial debate or dispute.” Using that definition, I guess I can call The Modesto Bee a polemicist. As for the article, it sounds like sour grapes after reading the chief of police’s answer as to why the Republican Party is not charged for it.
