Nancy Villarreal: Downey JV softball team had a truly special season
Congratulations to the Thomas Downey High School girls junior varsity softball team. The girls won 19 consecutive games in pre-season, tournament and league play. The team was undefeated at 12-0 in conference games. In those 12 conference games, they allowed opponents a total of only 11 runs while they scored 175-plus. A special season! Modesto Metro Conference JV champions! Great jobs ladies!
