Karen Kern: My lawn did fine, so I won’t fall for city’s offer to sell more water
Re “Outdoor watering OK’d for three times a week” (Page 3A, May 26): Nice try, Modesto City Council. You raise our water rates because of the drought and your loss of revenue due to one-day-a-week watering. Then we have one wet winter and now we can water three times a week? Sorry, but I am not buying it. My yard and my finances did just fine with once-a-week watering, and I intend to continue saving water and money. You’ll have to find some other sucker to buy your ruse.
