John G. Wetzler: Why aren’t we seeing construction on new reservoirs yet?

We all are very aware that California is in the midst of a drought! We listen to a constant barrage of ideas for conservation but not one acknowledgment that nothing has been done to get off ground zero on infrastructure or projects for water storage!

Another reminder that monies approved by the voters doesn’t prevent politicians from moving the funds to other uses. We should have the red tape removed and go full speed ahead on raising the existing dams and building new reservoirs! How many years will be wasted on saving water by the inaction of state leaders?
