Linda Mayo: Is the solution to mental illness death?

Re “Unarmed man shot to death by Georgia police” (Page A4, March 11): The final solution? I wish this were a random headline but, shamefully, it is not. Since the severely mentally ill are not being treated and are just not going away, I guess society’s solution to the problem is to just kill them. Problem solved. And if you think this is not happening in our state, our county, our city, think again. I am sickened.
