Efren Martinez: Modesto illuminated with ‘American Goodness’

There is crime all over America, and just as there is American crime, there is also American goodness. You really don’t have to look hard to find it; the folks at LoveModesto have been doing just that for years with the people who call Modesto home. They are just one of the many fine organizations helping to make our city shine with American goodness.

It truly does take a village, and the biggest positive reflection, in my opinion, comes from Modesto’s citizens. Lately I’ve read a great deal about all the wonderful things that’s been established and is happening in Modesto – our murals, our music scene, our many charitable events as well as our famous American Graffiti cruise route (just to name a few). But for some reason the citizens behind many of these fabulous American goodness’s weren’t mentioned or were just slightly mentioned without a thank you.

So, thank you to the folks who painted our murals, established our cruise route and who produce our charitable events. None of this could have happened without them. Thank you to them and to all who participate, you are helping our city shine with American goodness.
