Shelly Scribner: Why doesn’t Donald Trump believe in being nice?

As former teacher of young children, I taught them to be nice to each other, not to call names, be not a bully or to say hateful things. So now we have someone voted in who is a bully, says hateful things and is being mean. People will cry when they lose their health care, homes, jobs, air, water and public lands. How did this happen? Is this what happened when Hitler was voted in?
