Tom Hallinan: Congratulations to Jon Rodriguez from the man he beat

I have contacted Jon Rodriguez to congratulate him on his victory in our race for Yosemite Community College District Area 7 (West and South Modesto, Ceres and Keyes), and we will be having lunch soon.

I can remember 20 years ago when I was the young guy who knocked out an established incumbent. So now, it’s time for all of us to get behind Jon Rodriquez and support him as he begins his work on this important board. I told Jon I am only a phone call away if he ever needs anything from me to help him succeed.

Most of all, I am grateful to the public for letting me serve you in this position since 1996. Together, we have given the residents of this district modern facilities and programs to help them prosper in the ever changing 21st century. I am also heartened by my supporters who have encouraged me to take this two decades of experience and consider serving in another capacity sometime in the future.
