Donna Estes: Why were MID sprinklers on while it was raining?
Driving by the Modesto Irrigation District station at Coffee and Sylvan at 10:30 p.m. Friday, I noticed that all the sprinklers were running. It was also starting to rain. Drove a little further down Coffee, and the sprinklers at Merryhill School were also on. I thought we are all supposed to be conserving water because of the drought.
