Kaye Osborn: Community made Dickens Faire a great success

The children’s event during the Dickens Faire at the McHenry Mansion was a huge success. Children and their parents enjoyed decorating an ornament, a cookie, getting seasonal “tattoos” and were entertained by the beautiful Central West Ballet dancers. Special thanks to Save Mart Supermarket on Oakdale Avenue for the help, the CWB dancers, MJC students, MJC Pirate Cheerleaders, McHenry Museum docents and community volunteers. This has become annual tradition for many families. It was delightful to see so many visitors embracing the wondrous decorations. Make sure you take time to explore the museum and the mansion this month.
