Rex Oeum: Good riddance to plastic bags; next get rid of disposable water bottles

With Prop 67 passing, California is forced to use reusable plastic bags or buy plastic bags. This is the right direction for the future, because United State has too much garbage. In the Pacific Ocean, there are two “islands” as big as Texas of garbage. Plastic bags take about 400 years to decompose. For some plastic bottles, it takes even longer, up to 1,000 years. Next, California should focus on requiring reusable water bottles.
