Larry Dovichi: Pitts wallowing in self-pity, he should join the greatness of Trump Nation
Re “Time to come together? Not with a bigot at helm” (Page 3D, Nov. 20): Well Leonard Pitts Jr., your woe-is-me and I-will-not-play column is pure nonsense. You may want to read another American’s warning to all Americans. Dr. Ben Carson wrote, “We American people are not each others enemies, the people trying to divide us, those are your real enemies.” You sir, fit that description.
Your column was full of self pity and mostly impatience, which was given by this and many other Americans to our current president for the past eight years. Your claim that a “bigot is at our helm” will be proven inaccurate, as is your column. One can only hope The Modesto Bee moves on and drops you for more columnist such as Victor Davis Hanson. Don’t think it will happen, but one can only hope and just not read your, “I-suffer-because-of-who-I-am” columns. Join in the greatness of this country and quit wallowing in the past.
