Elizabeth Provost: Doonesbury cartoonist is divisive, get rid of him

Gary Trudeau’s “comics” continue to be divisive to our country. The election is over. It’s time for all of us to work together to rebuild the unity of the United States. We can’t be a strong nation if we fight one another. Trudeau has the talent to be funny. It would be great to see it used to heal our wounds instead of droning on, trying to open new ones. I hope you’ll choose new strips that are light-hearted and soothing to an already suffering readership.

Elizabeth Provost, Modesto
