Daniel Brown: This isn’t going to go well for our economy or the world

A look into America’s future: The Affordable Care Act will be repealed leaving millions of Americans without medical insurance.

Medicare will become a voucher system, leaving millions of elderly Americans at the mercy of private insurance companies.

Social Security will be privatized, leaving our children’s retirement in the hands of the banks that brought us the 2008 recession.

Planned Parenthood will be defunded, leaving millions of poor women without access to reproductive healthcare.

A disengaged foreign policy will embolden Vladimir Putin to invade the Ukraine and start eyeing the Baltic nations, further destabilizing an unstable world.

Taxes will be cut for the wealthy, support for the poor and education will be cut, but federal spending will rise, increasing the deficit which will no longer concern the Republicans who were so worried about it that they tried to shut down the government during Obama’s administration. Less money at the bottom end of our economy caused by government cuts will lead to a drop in demand for goods and services, bringing us to verge of recession. Again. Thank you, America, for making us great again!
