Joanne M. Miller: The ‘deplorables’ taught the ‘elites’ quite a lesson on Tuesday

It appears that the donut hole deplorables have spoken. Did you not see the almost solid red map of the United States? Did you not listen to the somewhat humble speech of Donald Trump?

You are going to continue to point out the ignorance and anger of us deplorables. The nameless people on the Editorial Board consider us deplorables unworthy and not particularly smart – somewhat like Shakespeare’s rabblement. We donut hole people are sick of an elite administration that thumbs its nose at the Constitution with a phone and a pen. We are tired of being put down by the media elites. If space allowed, I could add more grievances.

You should know that some of us deplorables have spent many years earning college degrees and working in careers that demand some intellectual ability. That said, I wonder why are we rabblement not smart enough to cancel our subscriptions to The Bee?

Joanne M. Miller, Ripon
