Doris Grinn: Do not despair, but fight against rise of Trump’s fascism

We all know white supremacy will reign again, with no restrictions on human assault weapons (the weapon of choice for white domestic terrorists). We know the political, economic and legal rights of women and ethnic minorities will be eroded through Donald Trump’s sexist and racist attitudes and his disregard for America’s culture of an ethnic and international “melting-pot.”

Hitler also stirred up Germany’s population with a blame agenda against minority Jews. Think about how ordinary Germans became complacent and intimidated by Hitler’s fascist regime once he was in power. He began controlling the German population through his secret service and his militaristic agenda. We need to be vigilant and always speak out against the rise of Trump’s American fascist agenda.

We can’t go into despair. We need to fight for our Democratic rights and for environmental protection. We need to be as vocal and demonstrative as we can. First, to demand a vote recount. And then to prevent the repetition of fascist political history that developed in Germany after the Great Depression. That was the reason for WWII.
