Debra Squadrito: Scammers are fishing for victims on Craigslist, Indeed and Ziprecruiter

I am writing to make citizens aware of a scam involving job ads. The scammers run an ad on Craigslist, Indeed, Ziprecruiter, etc. Once you send in your resume, you will receive an email from the supposed employer with a long-winded story about themselves. Then they request more of your personal info. Within 48 hours you will start receiving a barrage of scam calls. They use them all. The payday loan scam, the IRS scam, family abduction scam, the government-owes-you-money scam, etc. Limit what you put on your resume as far as personal info. Don’t send any more inforomation when instructed to do so by these criminals. Three of the scam jobs I applied for were caregiver positions and one was for a retail job. Help spread the word.
