Joe Alamo: Amy Bublak helped put together deal with TID to supply water to cities
Amy Bublak may be a former police officer who is an expert in public safety, but she has also dedicated her time to understand the importance of water in our region. As president of Board of Directors for the Turlock Irrigation District, I worked with Amy on the agreement that will bring 9 billion gallons of river water per year for the next 50 years to the cities of Turlock and Ceres. Amy didn’t just simply cast a vote, but was deeply involved as we finalized the details. She was a crucial voice in ending the nearly 30-year discussion and she helped create an equitable solution.
Amy now serves as a director on the Stanislaus Regional Water Authority board where she is committed to furthering a strong conversation about the future of our region’s water supply. Amy has proved herself a woman of integrity who will address all issues with transparency.
Amy is someone who will work tirelessly to create sustainable solutions for all of Turlock’s water users, making decisions that will benefit the city for generations to come. Join me in supporting a dedicated public servant like Amy.
Joe Alamo, TID Board President, Turlock
