Mark Miller: Renewed email probe just trying to clear Clinton in advance

The FBI’s new investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails categorization is not to harm her candidacy for president, but to ensure she remains in office once elected. The new investigation was not announced until it was clear Trump would not win the electoral college votes needed. The timing shows the following strategy: There is no explosive new evidence, but the new investigation will show how diligent, unbiased and forthcoming the FBI has been, thus disarming those within the Bureau and Congress who know otherwise. The “integrity” of the Bureau will be saved.

This investigation will not include the Clinton Foundation scandal, but will direct media attention far from it. Hillary will be cleared of criminal wrongdoing before she takes office, preventing any impeachment proceedings or investigations of her cronies. The “integrity”of the Democatic Party will be saved. The new administration will redefine the word “integrity” and we will all have to play along. The system isn’t rigged, it’s U.S. politics.
