Margaret Souza: You can’t find a finer council candidate than Gil Esquer

I have known Gilbert Esquer for more than 40 years and was pleased to hear of his decision to run for Turlock City Council, District 2. You will find none finer to fill that spot.

A Turlock west side resident all his life, Gil has raised his family and participated in the community. His involvement in many service clubs has resulted in helping many people. You will find none more caring than Gilbert. During this time working at TriValley Growers, Gil acquired a strong work ethic. Upon retiring, he is assisting his wife, Rosa, in their small business, Taxes Plus. During this time he has acquired the skills of operating a business. When looking for someone with a work ethic and skills, you will find none finer than Gilbert.

Once on the city council, Gilbert will serve with integrity and independence. He will listen to the people of the West Side, those underrepresented on the council. He will evaluate issues and consider the impact of all decisions. He knows the problems and will work diligently to fix them. If his past is any indication, he will be a caring, hardworking and independent council member.
