Chris Borovansky: Those who disparage Abe Rojas haven’t met him
As the former CEO at the Stanislaus County Fairground, I had the good fortune to work and develop a friendship with Abe Rojas. As part of the Turlock Chamber CVB and Ag Committee, I discovered Abe’s fingerprints were on many of the positive attributes associated with Parks and Rec facilities and programs. I watched as, under Abe’s leadership, the Yosemite Community College District flourished while other districts struggled.
Higher education and career technical opportunities have always been priorities for Abe, and he’s worked tirelessly toward improving the district. Fiscal responsibility within the YCCD is paramount to any future success, and Abe has been intimately involved with budget development and monitoring. I see that Abe’s opponents are resorting to tactics more commonly associated with our national election. I can say with complete certainty that anyone who questions Abe’s character, honesty, work ethic and passion for YCCD has never bothered to meet the man. I urge you to vote for Abe Rojas, trustee, YCCD.
