Lorna Cook: Bill Holly will bring a needed fresh perspective to YCCD board
This November’s election will be like no other. As people are focusing on the presidential, federal and state races, other offices are also having elections. I bring your attention to a very important race for the Yosemite Community College District. I believe our YCCD students at Modesto Junior College and Columbia College are best served by having trustees who are hard-working, thoughtful and committed to working in the best interests of our community. I ask you to support Bill Holly for YCCD trustee seat, area 3 covering Turlock, Hughson and Denair.
The trustee who currently represents this area started about 28 years ago and has had plenty of time to represent our area. A new person with different ideas would be welcome on this board. Holly is dedicated to freedom of speech and will guard that right for students and all members of the YCCD community. He will not allow political correctness to govern the district and its policies. Holly cares deeply about education and has been working with our MJC students for 20 years. Please vote for Bill Holly for YCCD trustee.
Lorna Cook, Turlock
