Gaetana Drake: Don’t try to put women in their place, they could turn nasty
We all heard Donald Trump call Hillary Clinton a “nasty woman” during the last presidential debate. Now Representative Brian Babin (R-Texas) said during a talk radio show that “sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty.” Seriously?
A presidential candidate has bragged about grabbing women by the genitals. Another presidential candidate was talking about protecting social security (and did comment that Donald might find a way to avoid paying social security taxes) and she’s the one called “nasty”? Apparently Rep. Babin believes it’s up to men to put women in our place.
Sorry, that ship has sailed. Does Trump realize he started a national movement with his comment? There are already “Nasty Woman” T-shirts for sale, with proceeds going to Planned Parenthood. It has become a rallying cry for women across the country. He has insulted every group of people in the country ... except rich white men and his biggest base group of supporters, uneducated white men. So, nasty women across the USA, please exercise your “nasty” opinions on Nov. 8. I’m With Her!
