Francis A. Avila: Bee ignores Clinton’s crimes while rejecting adolescent Trump

This is the most wretched election in living memory. On one hand we have an intellectually un-toilet trained adolescent who knows even less about public policy than the editors of The Bee. On the other, we have a serial liar of Nixonian proportions. Naturally, the second receives The Bee’s endorsement.

The Bee admits it has “concerns” over Clinton’s record of mendacity, but claims that “these were mistakes, not crimes.” No, actually they were provable crimes. Clinton assured us that not one piece of classified material had been transmitted from her unsecured, private server but we now know that to be a complete falsehood. Each one of the 110 classified emails sent or received constitutes a felonious violation of section 793 of the Espionage Act. Before The Bee editors can mutter, “but James Comey said” defense, it is clear from his last appearance before Congress the FBI’s “investigation” was fatally compromised by overlapping immunity deals designed to shield major parties from accountability. It’s as if the Senate Watergate committees had struck immunity deals with Haldeman and Erlichmann. The words “obstruction of justice” do not grace The Bee’s puerile panegyric on behalf of the ethically challenged Mrs. Clinton.

For The Bee, failure to indict magically transforms itself into qualification for high office.
